  11. Welcome to Baka Chal!
  12. Please note that the display looks best in a 256 colour mode (15 or 28).

  14. This is an ancient Tibetan game, normally played
  15. on a beaten brass board, with the pieces made from cast brass.
  16.  
  17. There are 4 tigers and 20 goats - you play the goats.
  18.  
  19. The game starts with the 4 tigers at the corner points,
  20. and all of the goats off-board.
  21.  
  22. Click on a point to add a goat, and a tiger will move (computer's turn).
  23.  
  24. If a tiger occupies a point adjacent to a goat, and the point
  25. on the far side of the goat is free, the tiger will jump over
  26. the goat and eat it.  It's a bit like checkers (draughts).
  27.  
  28. Your aim (firstly) is to get all of the goats on the board.
  29. Once they are all on, you may move one in your turn.

  31. To move a goat, click on it (the goat looks at you), and then click
  32. on the point to which you wish to move.  If you change your
  33. mind, click on the goat to deselect it.

  35. Pieces may only move along the marked lines onto the intersection points.

  38.                AIMS OF THE GAME.
  39. When all pieces are in play, your aim is to trap the tigers
  40. so that none may move - you win.

  42. The tigers have to try and eat 4 goats to win.

  44. Clicking 'menu' over the board will offer the option of restart
  45. or quit. (Coward!)
